crappy(Cup Admin): First of all, congratulations for tonight’s performance! Please give us a brief story of you & your team’s past!
McFluffish(Shazoo): Well I started the team with Funnsy maybe 4 weeks ago. I was in talks with Shazoo from day one and they followed the formation closely, offering advice where it was needed. Right now we have 6 players on the roster and we are trying to figure out the best main roster for us.
crappy(Cup Admin): Which game(s) have you been competing in before Battalion 1944?
McFluffish(Shazoo): I’ve competed in most games I’ve played but never gotten to any noteworthy achievements. I think the only player on the current roster that has any sort of high end experience is Aspa, who played cod4 if I recall.
crappy(Cup Admin): How do you see Battalion 1944’s future? What are your plans for the future in this game?
McFluffish(Shazoo): I think the future is very bright! The devs are listening to our feedback, and being very open. The low player counts might be worrying to some but I believe the game itself is very good, and when some of the big streamers etc try it out and the game is more stable, people will come and stay!
crappy(Cup Admin): What’s your favourite map in the game so far? Why?
McFluffish(Shazoo): I think my favorite map is Manorhouse v2 at the moment. Although I think coastal is the best map for competitive.
crappy(Cup Admin): What’s your favourite weapon?
McFluffish(Shazoo): Since I play the scope for the team it would be odd for me to answer anything else than the scope, although the stg is a close second!
crappy(Cup Admin): What’s your training regiment like?
McFluffish(Shazoo): We are currently only in our second week of proper scrimming. We aim to practice every night for at least 2-3 hours. This is rather flexible though and I’d say we average about 3-4 nights a week. Outside of scrims we play as much as possible together, and try to hangout in discord etc as much as possible to build chemistry. I can’t speak for my team, but I really enjoy playing and hanging out with all of my members currently, and that was my goal with the recruitment process. To have a team that can improve and have fun together
crappy(Cup Admin): How do you stay motivated to keep playing? Do you ever get bored of your game?
McFluffish(Shazoo): I don’t get bored with the game itself, I do however get bored with playing by myself. I really don’t think it is as enjoyable not having someone to talk to and work together with. Luckily I almost always have someone to play with so the soloq games are quite few.
crappy(Cup Admin): Name 1 thing you like the most in the game and 1 thing you like the least!
McFluffish(Shazoo): The thing I like the most is the movement I think. The only real shooter I played before this was CS:GO, and this movement system feels a lot more rewarding.
The thing I like the least is probably how weak the allied guns feel in comparison to the axis guns, which makes allied a lot less fun to play In my opinion.
crappy(Cup Admin): About our cup: How would you rate your team’s performance tonight?
McFluffish(Shazoo): Well It was like a week and a half ago, and I think we played alright. We still have so much to work on and we can improve on absolutely everything, so I’m happy with the games we won, but I feel the games we lost we were very sloppy and gave away to much. With only 1 week of scrims prior to the tournament, and playing with Speirs who wasn’t a main roster player at the time, I think we did OK. But there is a lot more we can do.
crappy(Cup Admin): Are you satisfied with the organisation of the cup? Would you like to see more of our cups in the future?
McFluffish(Shazoo): I’ve had a lot of contact with you crappy, and I am very happy with how proffessional our communications have been, and how open to suggestions and discussions you have been! I really hope more people open their eyes to these cups and to you as an organizer because I absolutely think you can make some amazing things happen in this community! Me and my team will play every event of yours that we can! that much I can promise!
crappy(Cup Admin): Name 1 thing that you’d like to change in our cup!
McFluffish(Shazoo): Right now I’m not sure. With the move to playing during the weeks, and double elim bracket, I don’t have a lot to change to be honest. I’d like there to be more coverage of the tournaments, and an english stream.
crappy(Cup Admin): Where can people find out more about you/your team?
McFluffish(Shazoo): For our players we all have twitters, and I try to stream as much as I can of my mostly average plays.
